"Just picked up a 1990 sunbird
"Just picked up a 1990 sunbird Stinger with a 2.3 cobra...Engine ran fine no problems...Had boat out for the day engine started to misfire.Prior to this installed new belt for water pump and new points...Stopped to check engine thinking points were closing up...Removed engine cover found belt fell off ,we had been running boat without the belt on for quite awhile.Now boat idles ok but mis fires when i give it the throttle...Question is ..Could i have caused valve damage,even tho engine idles fine...There is no water in the oil...TIA"
