"This problem started a year ago and keeps getting worse. engine started vary hard and motor would start losing power and shaking vary bad after about 30 seconds at full throttle but would sometimes go 2 minutes before problem accrued. So I installed a new power pack suggested by local dealer. Now motor starts great, but at top speed shake and loss of power still accrue.Motor will run all day at half throttle just fine.Things I have done to correct problem is changed spark plugs, totally eliminated a fuel problem.unhooked tachometer.Compression is fine. One important note is when you turn engine off it will run for another 30 seconds to 2 minutes full throttle before shaking an loss of power accrue again. It will continue doing that over and over all day. Any help is appreciated."

Your SLOW is kicking in.
Does Your alarm system work?
Is it overheating?
Are You running NGK 'R' plugs?

"Thanks for responding, I had to unhook the alarm system about four years ago couldnt get it to shut off. No it is not overheating and I am using champion QL77JC4 plugs.Plugs all look good. This shaking and loss of power at full throttle has progresively gotten worse over the last two years. Thanks TONY"

"Then we go after the vacume switch in the fuel system.
I have attaced a pick from a 200 , see pos #24.- You did not say which V6 You have.
On the suction side of the VRO there is a T on the hose, going to a vacuum switch. If fuel restriction, that switch will cut in.
Two possibilities:
1: Switch is bad - false 'alarm'.
2: You have a fuel restriction/air leak somewhere from tank to engine
Start by disconnecting the alarm cable from the switch, and do a SHORT test run. Pull then out the plugs and check that they are not 'whitish'.
If You run lean - pistons will soon burn down.
Then check everything from tank to engine:
Tank vent-hose free, anti-siphon valve at tank exit, filters/connectors.....

"Thanks but no luck,I unhooked

"Thanks but no luck,I unhooked the vacuum switch. It went about one minute before it started to viberate and loose power. So I shut the engine off because thats the only way to reset so that it will run full throttle again, only went 20 seconds this time so as it was vibrating I pumped primer ball up so it was hard still no differance. Checked fuel filter its fine, checked vent tube its clear.Would injecter oil cause the problem I am running snowmobile semi-synthetic oil (jasco rated). Thinking it must be electronic because I have to turn the key off to reset everything. Thanks again TONY"

"'Something' is causin

"'Something' is causing the alarm SLOW to kick in.
There are normally only 3 possibilities:
No oil
High temp
Vacuum switch.

Low oil in tank should not initiate slow unless the blocking diode is defective.
Disconnect ALL switches -VRO (pull the electric plug), temp-switches at head, Vacuum and oil tank. If problem does not occur -reconnect one at the time until occurs.
If occurs, are You sure the brown wire in control box/alarm horn is not to the ground?"

Thanks for all your help Morten it is very much apreceated,I thought I was going to have to spend a pile of money on electrical parts when all it was, was a bad sensor in the oil injection tank. THANK YOU! TONY"

"Looks like You have found at

"Looks like You have found at least one problem.
But the oil-tank sensor should not initiate SLOW. That may only happen if the blocking diode in the harness between the tank and power-pack is defective. It is no harm if it initiates slow, but might be an nuisance."

Thanks again I will check that

Thanks again I will check that diode and probably have to replace it. All your help has been greatly appreceated Tony
