I am working on a boat for a guy who is in a hurry to get fishing but it's a bit of a challenge as I have yet to find a factory manual. This motor is a 4 cylinder with single Switch Box and 4 coils.
Looking at the motor I see the choke has a mechanical solenoid that lifts a rod which closes plates over the carb venturi's. There is also a manual choke knob to be used presumably in case the solenoid fails. Looking at the exploded diagram for the choke on this site I'm puzzled as it shows a T fitting with a small diameter hose going to both carbs. Are they there to balance air to the carbs? Could someone please explain what those hoses are for?
Thanks guys....
