I have a 1989 mariner/mercury 25 hp that I recently purchased. The motor cranks and idles perfectly and will do so for an hour solid. When you put it in gear and give it throttle it will idle up for a few seconds then dies.now I have it in a barrel and again it will idle awsome I reach up and give it gas without it in gear and it will take full throttle burst but if you try to idle it up pass 1/8 throttle or so it will start to die like its running out of gas but if you let go it will go back to idling. Ive even done this while squeezing the bubble and it stays hard the whole time can someone please tell me what to look for. The last onwner said he had the carb rebuilt twice and it never helped.
Ive replaced the stator and trigger also. What else could it be. Ive attached a YouTube link of the motor doing what I described above
