Just wondering if anyone can h

Just wondering if anyone can help me out on this one.Took the motor out for the first time and it ran good but i noticed it was leaking fuel. Took off the cowling and noticed fuel dripping off the bottom of the carb.I used compressed air and found the leak seemed to be coming from the gasket between the bowl and the main body.
I rebuilt the carb with a johnson carb kit. Cleaned all the passages and put back together.Put the carb back on and when i primed it with the ball it leaks fuel again. Any ideas as to what the problem might be here?Thank you in advance for any help....jeff f

With the carburetor body held upside down, the float being viewed from the side, adjust the float so that the free end of the float (the end opposite the hinge pin) is ever so slightly higher (just ever so slightly off level) than the other end. And when viewed from the end, make sure it is not cocked.
