Hi, I just purchased a 1989 Sea Nimph with a Johnson Pro Series 50 that has been parked for 10 years. I cleaned the carbs and it fired right up however there is no water coming out through the motor on top but it is coming out of a hole in the exhaust housing behind the front mounting bracket that is attatched to the bottom of the outboard just above the gear case. Is water suposed to come out here or is there suposed to be a freeze plug there or is there something clogging the water flow to, through or out of the block? If I seem a little ignorant to the workings of outboards its because I am, this is the 1st one I have had to work on. Thank you in advance for your imput.
