1989 Johnson 90HP v-4 idle adustment

I have a 1989 Johnson 90HP model J90TLCEM and it idles too high-I recently acquired this engine and need advice as to the idle speed adjusting.Any help is greatly appreciated.

First,... back the idle stop screw on the vertical throttle arm so that it's not touching anything.

Locate the threaded black trunion on the throttle cable where it's clamped in.... adjust that trunion to bring the idle sown to where you want it.

NOTE: On a flushette, the idles should be 1000 rpm for a 20" shaft engine... and 1200 rpm for a 25" shaft engine. When in the water, the idle rpm will drop to normal.
