I have a 1989 48 SPL that sat for six years. It’s been ran through and the only thing I put on it is a new lower carb. When I first started tinkering with it, I noticed the lower carb was not getting gas out of the bowl, so I pulled it off and was cleaning the bowl and accidentally broke the float. instead of buying a new float, I bought a whole new carburetor when I first put it on the carburetor, it pulled gas out of the bowl and it ran on both cylinders after I shut it off. Only the top carburetor will pull gas from the bowl and the lower will not just like it did before I bought the new one. I’m at a lost for ideas. The float is set and the carb is clean as can be. Any ideas?

Trouble shooting starts with a compression test.----Post the actual values here.----Perhaps the lower crankcase seal is blown.----Or perhaps there is a hole in the crankcase and therefor no suction.----Remember I can not see / touch / examine your motor.
