1989 Johnson 150hp V-6

I am trying to get spark to the plugs. I have replaced the stator, and power pack. Engine turns over fine but no spark to the plugs. My next step is to replace the rectifier. Before I do is there anything else that might prevent spark to the plugs?? The ignition system has a safety switch. Do these prevent ignition spark? FYI This engine sat for 5 years without being started.

disconnect the black and yellow kills witch wires at the pack and see if you get spark, make sure your starter is not dragging you need over 250rpm's cranking to make the spark you need.
