My Johnson 150 is not charging the battery. The manual shows it to have a combination rectifier / regulator. I have checked for all the obvious stuff including wiring, corrosion, etc. This is a pretty basic system and chances are that its probably a bad rectifier/regulator. But the schematic shows a fuse associated with this circuit. Before I spend the ~$190 on the rectifier/regulator, I would like to check that fuse. Anyone know where that fuse is located?

Thanks,

"Chuck, try following the red wire that goes from the rectifier over to the starter. The fuse should be along that circuit.

I'm not familiar with your model. On some the fuse will be in-line on others it is buried in an electrical box - but will be somewhere in the "red" feed..."

This was good information. Th

This was good information. The red wire had the fuse inline and was tucked under a velcro strap that was holding a bundle of wires together. The fuse checked good. Bummers. Wished it could have been that easy. Time to pull out the checkbook and purchase the rectifier/regulator. Thanks a lot for the help.
