1989 force 125 hp timing

what is the best way to set the timing the engine runs good but still cranks a long time before starting even when warmed up

Get a manual.Then look for static timing.Way to much to put on here to explain.J

i have a manual just thought there might be a short cut like bring no.1 to tdc and adjust

Timing is fixed at the factory and does not go out of adjustment as a rule.

had engine all apart to replace pistons

Follow the directions for static timing.Not that hard to do.
