1989 EVINRUDE 150 HP

Took the boat out Yesterday (4/29/23). Starts and idles fine but when giving gas in gear bogs down and dies. Could get back to dock under very low speed. Can anyone help?
 
How did it run for you last season ?-----You need to post test results here.----What are the compression values ?----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all leads ?----Are carburetors confirmed clean ?----Running with VRO in service and tested ?----Water pump impeller replaced ?----Are the 3 carburetors all opening up ?----Is the timer base rotating ?
 
It ran fine last season in fact ran fine 2 weeks ago. This is sudden so needed somewhere to start. Idles fine and using throttle without gears ramps up fine. I'm pretty sure it's none of the other bc it will ramp up out of gear

What are the compression values ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear ----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all leads ? (NEW with no electrode) ----Are carburetors confirmed clean ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear ---Running with VRO in service and tested ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear ---Water pump impeller replaced ? (BRAND NEW) ---Are the 3 carburetors all opening up ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear ----Is the timer base rotating ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear
 
I probably do God knows you weren't any help. Hopefully the other members actually like to help. You just like to puff up your chest and sound important. Compensating??? Get a life!!
