1989 90hp Mariner low compression

Need a little info please
middle cylinder is 90 psi other 2 are 120 psi can new rings be installed with out removing unit from boat and would selco
be a good manual

You can leave the midsection on the boat.-----Motor ( powerhead ) must be removed , taken apart completely.----Inspected to see what it needs.----Will possibly need machining for 1 O/S piston.

Is there no access to the middle cylinder with the power head on the motor?

If the intake manifold and the cylinder head can be removed I am not seeing why the power head as to come off the motor?

There is no cylinder head on this motor !!!!
