My motor will run fine on top end but will not idle.Have had carbs. rebuilt,timing checked,carbs. sinkrenized,linkage checked.My mech. said possible air leaking between crank case is this possible

I had same problem but it was the hose running from the crankcase to fuel pump had cracks in it so at idle was not feeding enough fuel but on top end it would do fine could be your broblem?

Test compression first of all.
