was on lake yesterday and it f

was on lake yesterday and it felt like i hit something with prop but i did not see any thing on my graph or with eyes i was in 40ft of water but moter ran rough took it to the boat shop and was told that it was the pinion gear but the boat goes into gear fine i dont have a clue please help

the pro had 1 of the blades bent and what is the price on the pinion gears the guy told me that it was like 1100 dollars does that sound right

It sounds very high to me if all you are getting replaced is the pinion..i would go as far as saying your getting ripped off take it to another pro.

If the pinion gear is damaged make sure you have the fwd gear replaced as well as the impact will have fractured a couple of teeth on the fwd gear
