is there any one that can tell me what other size motors that my 1989 4.3 upper/lower sterndrive unit will fit.
i was told it will fit 1987 to 1993 4.3 and up
is this true ?

"It will fit the other years (4.3) and it will bolt on to the other sizes but the gear ratio will be incorrect, depending on how close you might be able bridge the gap with a prop change otherwise you are looking at a gear change or a different upper."

but will this 4.3 omc cobra case fit up to an v8 omc cobra ?
i have a good case v8 350 omc cobra with bad gears
and a bad 4.3 case with good gears
and i was going to put the 4.3 gears in the v8 350 omc cobra case.
will this work ?

Yes...the actual upper and low

Yes...the actual upper and lower gear housing is the exact same but you would need special tools to be able to do the swap unless you took it to a shop that does that kind of work.
