1988 or 89 15HP Evinrude loses speed

My 1988-89 15hp evinrude boggs down after being on the lake for awhile; starts great, lots of speed and then all of a sudden you can feel losing speed slowly; i feel this happens when i do a quick turn or after trolling for awhile; even after starting the motor fresh on a new trip i can go for 1/4 mile then I feel the lack of speed and then i barely have any speed HELP
 
Has the water pump been looked ???-------------------Is the vent on the tank open ???-------------Good compression and a strong spark on both cylinders ???------Checked fuel supply for water ???
 
Yes I have good compression,tank vent is always open and new fuel in tank; Thx for your replies, never thought of changing water impeller as water is coming out ok but will change the impeller, how do i know if i have a water pump? Thanks in advance Tracey
 
Thanks again for your replies; I imagine the water pump comes in a kit with the impeller; you also mentioned to change thermostat?? Thanks again in advance; my dad used to fix everything for me but he past away 3 years ago and I sure miss him.
 
Do the spark plugs look the same as each other? Any traces of water on either spark plug? If engine is firing on both cylinders, the usual cause is overheating or running out of fuel for some reason such as failing/faulty fuel pump, fuel restriction, etc. Does pumping the fuel primer bulb constantly (acting as a manual fuel pump) make any difference?
