"I am trying to find out information on my 1988 Merc carb, I have taken it off and looked for identification on it.I diddn't see any maufacturer name on it. These are the numbers I did find WMK13685676
3819167 and 1 1/4 2BXK. I need to know which of these is the part number and who manufactured this carb. there was gas coming out around a screw as I was trying to keep it running. Would this be a float or choke problem?

"Ray, WMK is the model of a common Mercury Carb. Your carb may be a WMK-13, but I am not positive of that fact. If you look up your motor on www.dougrussell.com, they should have the microfische pictures of the carb and the other components of the motor. You should be able to tell what that screw is. You may also want to get a manual."
 
"We took the carb off, took it

"We took the carb off, took it apart and the float had a small hole in it. That was one problem. The gas filter was clogged we replaced it. Now it runs great except for the choke not sure if I have the linkage set right. I appreciate the help Norm, Becker and Chris gave me."
