1988 Merc 50 HP Oil Injection

Just bought a pontoon boat with a 1988 50 HP Mercury.

My question is about the oil injection, I've never been a big
fan of earlier injection systems, would it be a good idea to
remove it and mix my gas?

yes, especially if that is the remote tank oil injection

Why not do both? Mix up 100:1 and leave the thing in place.

I Haven't really looked at it very good yet,
does anyone know exactly what to do to remove it?
I think it is just a straight forward removal, and
mix the gas instead, but is there a horn in play there?
