1988 Mariner 8hp keeps stalling

My 8hp Mariner starts and runs fine for about 2 minutes. It then stalls as if it is not getting fuel. I have to pump air into the fuel tank each time it stalls. It will run for another 2 minutes and stalls again. Each time it stalls, the fuel line to the tank needs to be pumped full of air. The fuel line from the tank to the motor seems to be in good shape. What should I be looking for to solve this problem?

If it will continue to run while you squeeze the ball pump I would suspect fuel pump wear, air entering the fuel system causing pump to lose prime or bad vent on the tank. Try a different tank and fuel line.
