"Motor starts,runs,new plugs&wires put in forward takes more than normal time to plane off.Only get top speed of 28-29mph won't come out of the hole like normal.Prop 19 stock,Is switch box same as power pack?as on 150 mercury.New fuel line,filter,gas. this motor is on 18'Bass Tracker fiberglass boat bought together new 1989 .Any advice needed.}"

To some people, an engine may sound OK, but can be running on 1 or 2 less cylinders, and run Ok, but have no power like what you have.

If both packs are 3 cyl packs, yea they are the same.

sounds like it's running lean, when were the carbs cleaned last?
Can you do a compression test ? Low cylinder compression from stuck rings can cause low power."
