Help. new to boat ownership. power tilt/trim motor quit today. (worked yesterday) I just want to manualy lift motor for transport but can't. Is there a release that i can't find so that I can raise/tilt up motor? Model no. j70tlcca. ser. no. G7802164 OMC USA
 
"Near the bottom side of the s

"Near the bottom side of the starboard (right) transom bracket (bkacket that bolts engine to boat), there's a recessed hole. Look inside of that hole and you'll see a slotted screw. That screw is the manual release valve.

Back that release valve out two (2) turns, no more than two turns. This will allow you to raise the engine and also to lower it. Note that it will lower only to the extended trim rams.
