I'm considering purchasing a Basscat with a Johnson 200 HP VRO. It is compression checking at 110-115 on all cylinders. Is this acceptable compression for this motor? Thanks.
 
Yes. Also check the L/U oil for any water or metal particals in it and take it for a test run if you can.
 
Thats very good compression, I would also see if he would take you on a test drive, and see if the alarm buzzer sounds.
