1988 Four Winns Candia mercruiser Remote Control Assembly

My grandpa recently purchased a 1988 four winns candia and need to replace the remote control assembly. We are just not sure which one we to get I have found one that looks similar to this http://www.marineengine.com/parts/m...ponents/1986-thru-1993/remote-control-assy-90 but no idea which model number it is any help would be greatly appreciated. Good luck finding that part number........believe me I have looked

What is wrong with it?

If it is the push button that allows you to get throttle and no shift when starting the engine maybe I can help

I can refurbish that and replace it with new parts.

When he bought it and got it home all the wires for the trim and every thing had been cut.

i am pretty mechanically inclined so I can usually figure out a problem if there is parts to buy to replace I could more then likely do it.

Wire issues are something different.
Where are u located?

There is a local salvage place that has those shift controls.

And by the way...what i am referring to about the shift botton.......no way you could fix it.......believe me....it takes a few controls to figure out what to do and how to take it apart and get it back together correctly.

So what exactly do you need?
