Ok, so working on a 1988 35 HP force outboard, keep getting an overheat. I've replaced the impeller and head gasket, still same issue. So I decided to take off the exhaust manifold cover to check for blockages in the water jacket, the 2 gaskets on each side of the exhaust plate are shot to ****. My question is, if the gaskets are allowing compression into the water jacket could that cause the water flow to the reduced and cause the overheat, or am I looking at a serious blockage somewhere in the power head?
