So here is the problem; My boat will run good for about 30 minutes or so and then she will start this surging thing. I have to throttle down and go slow as heck to go anywhere. If you do not throttle down she will surge until she dies. I have only replaced the fuel pump so far. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to get her running smooth again. Thanks so much!

If the fuel primer bulb has a tendency to collapse, that indicates a fuel restriction between the bulb and the fuel supple... BUT... also the output valve in the primer bulb could have come apart and if so, the inner portion would eventually be drawn back into the valve shell causing a valve shut off condition.

If no fuel restriction, does constantly pumping the fuel primer bulb, acting as a manual fuel pump, help?

Does the warning horn beep momentarily when you turn the key to the ON position?

I found the problem, the gas tank was a custom job made from steel and the ethanol was causing a bunch of rust and other material to erode from the walls of the tank and into the gas. The carbs have been rebuilt, completely, synced and ready to go. The gas tank has been disconnected. The shop that did the sync ran them off of their tank never used mine. It ran for them smoothly for a good time and no issues. So I just have to replace the tank with a newer one and I will be good on that part. Now to tackle the electrical wiring system. Good times!

I did and it ran good after the rebuild on the carbs. Found a bunch of rust and debris in the custom steel tank that was installed. Time for a new tank.
