is there suppost to be water coming out of the exhaust port holes on the back of the motor when it is running can anybody answer that for me?

I believe so, but its just a fine mist.Hold your hand 4 inches from the exhaust while its running in the water,You should see the moisture then.That motor has a telltale doesnt it?? some call it a peehole and some other names? is it emitting water?

I have an '88 30hp and it pumps good water using a tank or muffs. If running in a tank, make sure the water level is at least a few inches above the water pump.
