1988 88 spl steering neck rusted away

Hey folks, i have a super great 88 88 spl on my 24 foot tritooon ,I went to get it ready for fathers day and ny steering ia froozen, Brand new cable and wheel gear drive, disconnected at motor end and found that to be seized, also while looking at the stearing neck i found it majorly eaten away by salt, can the steering neck alone be replaced and who would have one..Thanks in advance

Is the motor seized in the pilot tube on the motor ??

You can. Here is a video of unseizing the tube a smaller motor: https://youtu.be/dJpw9IJ9H1U If you poke around my channel you will also find a video on removing this from a larger four stroke. The smaller one I cleaned up and got working again, the larger one I replaced with a new unit from a wreckers.

Yes it is thank you all, I have it soaking now and try tomorrow. Its in there pretty good, The salt water here in florida did this over the winter season,

What are you using for soaking ?? Try PB Blaster or ATF and Acatone mixed 50/50.

Sorry guys for the delay in response, Got that sucker loose Greased her all up and is now turning almost as good as new, Now for the fun part, The steering neck is broken from being so rusted, any ideas on where to start looking for a new one.. Thanks
