1988 50hp Tilt Trim

I have a 1988 50hp 507F8D that has a crack in the Port stern Bracket and need to replace it. I currently don't have tilt but would like to take the opportunity to install one at the same time as the brackets. I have found a unit from a 1992, 70 Hp Force (708F92A) and hoping the bracket and trim unit are compatible. Through my research I read the trim for the 1992 "services" the 1988 but not sure what that means.
Will the trim from the 1992 fir my 1988?
Will the bracket from the 1992 fit my 1988?

The part #'s on the swivel bracket are different (part#31). That means that the shock eye is in a different location. On the 1992 it is in the middle. On the 1988 it is offset to the side. You may have to swap swivel brackets to make it work. It would be a major project.
