1988 25 hp Johnson - changed water pump, engine won't start - troubleshoot

Hi all,

Just bought my first boat (14 foot fiberglas), and this is my first post. Engine worked but was not peeing. Changed the water pump, re-installed, but now the engine will not start. Compression is 110 in both cylinders. When cylinders off, starter turns over just fine. Trying to figure out what the next step is prior to going to a marine mechanic. Any help regarding the progression of things to check would be much appreciated.

Check for spark and fuel. Spray a shot of WD-40 into the carb throat while cranking. If it fires then you have a fuel delivery problem.
