Where is the last point that voltage travels back to the ignition from the control box? This thing will not fire and i am thinking it maybe something simple like the saftey switch(which is bypassed).

Re: 87 ss 150 not firing

When bypassing the saftey switch is the connection be to be open or closed and should i have voltage on the green wire leaving the key switch while the key is on? The green wire goes to the wiring for the safety switch. Any help would be great-i have a 3 year old begging me to take him fishing.

Re: 87 ss 150 not firing

will it turn over and not spark?

then by-pass the safety switch, touch both wire together

Re: 87 ss 150 not firing

The problem is the ignition(key) switch.I pulled the stop wire from the control box and it started just fine. New switch on the way-hopefully by next weekend I'll be icing down some specs and reds. Thank you justintime for your response.
