The housing & nipple assy cracked on our 1987 Johnson 6hp outboard. (If you view the primer assembly diagram for 1987 Johnson 6 HP outboard Model #J6RCUD, it would be (11))

Can I get by with purchasing just the housing and nipple assy (11) or will I need to purchase the whole primer pump assembly unit? The housing and nipple assy (11) broke at the point it would attach to something (I think it attaches to the end cap (9))

Also, since I have the primer assembly apart, are there any other parts recommended to be replaced (o-rings)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Item 11 should be all you need ( not that expensive )-----------if o-rings are suspect then replace them.--------------------Welcome to the world of newer motors and " plastic junk "---------------These are a great running motor , but you have to be careful with the plastic stuff.
