1987 Johnson 150gt No Spark

Ok, I have a 1987 Johnson 150gt (J150GTLCUR). I wasnt getting spark on any cylinders so I pulled out the book and started with the Keyswitch/killswitch. I pulled the black/yellow wires apart coming from the power packs and I had good spark on all cylinders which indicated that the keyswitch/killswitch was bad. I ordered the parts, installed them and still no spark. Same thing, when I pull the black/yellow wires apart, I get spark. So I checked the keyswitch/killswitch wiring and it is working properly. I am only getting a ground signal between the "m" terminals when the keyswitch is in the off position or if the lanyard is pulled off on the killswitch. I then wanted to see if the powerpack was receiving a "kill" signal when the key is in the run position. The only time the powerpack is receiving a "kill" signal is when the key is in the off position or when the lanyard is pulled. I'm at a loss at this point. Any ideas?

Go back to the mtr and disconnect the black/yellow wires from the packs. Now hook an ohmmeter lead to the black/yellow wire going to the ignition switch and the other to ground. With the key in on position you should have an open circuit. With it off it should be closed.

I have tested the system by putting one lead to the black/yellow wire behind the ignition switch, and the other to the male end of the black/yellow wire coming from the powerpack. It has continuity when the ignition is switched to off or when the emergency lanyard is pulled off. Here's the kicker though, I would have thought that the female end (end of the black/yellow wire hooked directly to the powerpack) would have been the end to test. I will take a look at the wiring diagram again tomorrow. Would the diodes have anything to do with my issues? I saw that there were two in the killswitch circuit.
