1987 Johnson 110 hp V4 rectifier location

I have a 1987 Johnson 110 hp V4 I’m trying to find out where the rectifier is. it’s not charging the battery so they’re saying the rectifier and I’m guessing it’s underneath the fly wheel but just got this Boat three weeks ago and I’m trying to figure it all out thank you for your time

Like on top of the block.----Partially under the flywheel.---6 small bolts.----Water cooled so a gasket is needed.

That’s what we though but was not sure. They are Ridiculously expensive

I guess then that a modern 4 stroke with a $4000.00 ECU will not be in your future.

Still cheaper than replacing the ignition system when that regulator catches on fire. Change it!
