"I have no spark to either plug,I did receive some reading materail from a form member Mr.Lamb but i thought i should put this out for all to read. I am attempting to test stator as per info received and want to confirm wire colors. What I have from stator is 2 blue wires which go to terminal strip and 2 green yellow stripped wires which go to rectier,when i test for res between blu + gr /yel it shows OL, than my test from these to ground is also open, am I conducting this test properly. I am also looking for good after market supplier for this engine. Would be thankful for help and advise. michael"

"Thanks Dave So now that I have the proper wire coloring i can safley say it passed the continuity test,I have top quality vom but uncertain if peak voltage feature is on them or is that a seperate attachment,and I assume it's 180 vac Correct? Next does the stator retreive its power from the red wire at top of rectifer? And one last Item,

I really only had on

I really only had one issue with my 90 Hp back in '01-'02. Using some guidance from TonyOB I was able to rule out the trigger, stator, and rectifier. I ended up replacing both my CDs. Have not had a problem since. Should be able to find some posts in the board archives.
I will suggest you have a fully charged battery for trouble shooting.
