Guys occasionally I am having

Guys occasionally I am having trouble getting the engine to go into reverse. Some days it works fine all day. Other days it just makes a clicking sound and won't go into gear.

Anyone know what is going on here? Is something out of adjustment or is a gear going bad?

"most likely a cable. take it off and see how it shifts by hand. check cable for play. most important, don't keep running it that way, or you will destroy the gears."
