What engine components can cause a parasitic draw on the battery? I disconnected the accessory wires and only have the main large engine cables attached to the battery. The battery itself is brand new. The starter solenoid is also brand new. The battery will drain roughly 1V per day just sitting. I think the alternator is faulty because after a few hours out on the water there's just enough juice to turn it over one more time to get the boat on the trailer. Is there something that can cause the alternator not to work without the alternator being faulty? Can a faulty alternator can parasitic drain? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.
