1987 4.3 omc alignment

I have a 87 4.3 omc I just replace the coupler and gimble bearing,and try to use alignment tooll and the back part of the motor has to come up a quarter inch,somebody has been in this motor before i have,apparently the stern drive has been replace and motor.Is there washer suppose to be under neath the back motor mounts before the motor goes in or something,cause the back motor mounts are stationary.

looks like everything thanks for picture could it be that the rear mounts are worn need replacing the motor is far as it will let it go down and still need quarter inch in the back to go up

What about dropping the front mounts down ??

The front is far as it will go down,and where the motor sit it is made out of some plastic material.Could it be the back motor mounts worn out?
