1987 35hp mercury bottom plug wet

I have a 1987 35hp mercury outboard and the throttle is opening all the way but only seems to be running at half throttle.
I took plugs out today and the top was dry and the bottom was wet i believe that this meens its only running on the top cliynder.
I put new plugs in but not yet tried it.Wondering if the plug was bad or somthing else.It it also had old gas in it but i belive that the
bottom plug is or was the problem. Im kinda new at this any advice would be appricated!!!

Get a spark tester and check if you have spark in that bottom cylinder.

Was it wet with oily gas or WATER (which bead up)?

surely a dry plug is more bad news than wet as far as gas is concerned.

Not if the plug is wet with water. I had to scrap a 40 Merc twin with a cracked lower cylinder.

Its wet with oily gas.I need to check for spark yet though

Spark must jump a gap of 3/8" or so! ---compression should be even/ the same on the 2 cylinders.

compression and spark is good. Tryed it saterday ran very well like new.Just a fouled plug thanks 4 all the help!!!
