The ol skeeter bass boat ran fine to get out to the back of the lake but when it was time to come on back it would not start and roll. It only started in throttle position but when I went to engage in forward it would die out. Puleed the cover and noticed the lower carb was dumping gas constantly out the side jet it looks like to me any help I would love it thanks JOE

...lower carb was dumping gas constantly out the side jet...

What HP? Carb is flooding either from a float issue leaving the needle open too long or the needle is stuck shut.

Which serial number is yours?

It's a 1986 so I would first perform a WOT compression test on a warm engine to determine how healthy the powerhead is. Those results would tell me if I should sink any money into a 25 yr. old engine. That's just me. If compression is good then I would pull the carbs and rebuild them. Check the operation/condition of the accellerator pump and associated fuel parts. Post back; others here will know more and help.

I believe compression and pump are fine the funnyh thing is at the end of summer last year it was at the shop for a go over and this is the first time out since just my luck. I did notice on the lower carb there is a black to me it looks like a vacume hose that goes left to right on the top of the carb was broke already fixed that problem but not sure if that had anything to do with the flooding of that carb

That just means it was there and maybe started and it ran. Shops are busy and yours may have seemed fine to them. What did the shop repair ticket say they did? NO DISRESPECT to shop owners.

Check the operation/condition of the accellerator pump and associated fuel parts. Check the compression.
