"Carbs rebuilt, runs good top end however, loads up running at low speed for any length of time. Also whats the best way to ensure carb floats are set correctly."

"Here's my test: Pump the bulb as hard as you can (engine off). If gas leaks out of the carb, the float setting is too high, or the seat needs replacement.

Have you adjusted the idle settings with:

1. The motor in gear and,
2. Fully warmed up?

If not, it might just be the idle is a bit too rich.

What is the proper oil/fuel mi

What is the proper oil/fuel mixture for a black murcery 500 50hp with thunder bolt ignition? It currently has a 2 blade propeller (info on part number or pitch found) Would a three blade propeller be a good upgrade or will i need to stick with the one it has now?

Looks like a 71, you can try a 10.5 x 13,14, or 15 3 blade, depending on how heavy the boat is. It is a try and see thing depending on the max rpms of the engine with a light load in the boat."
