1986 Merc 75 hp control box cables

Hello all,

I have a 1986 Merc 75 hp with quick silver control box. I am installing new longer cables for this re power project. Which end do install new cables first ? the remote end or the engine end. Thanks

Control box first as there are no adjustment at the box.------Put motor in neutral and at idle.-----Now adjust cables to suit at the motor end.

Thanks a lot. After that new uflex rotech steering cable kit.....then hopefully fishing soon.
