"Running out of water on th ho

"Running out of water on th hose, everything seems to run fine. I can run the length of the throttle and the engine runs great. As soon as I put it in the water, I can only get about half way down on the throttle before it starts to bog down and basically move slowly. Idle seems to be fine in and out of water and also when I first put in gear. Why the difference in and out of water??????"

"back pressure--ck ur spark,compression,..and carbs,fuel delivery...it can sound 'fine' on hose..when u apply load to it,..is where the rubber,meets the road."

"Thx, My first boat and only had it about 9 months. Changed the plugs and wires back in Sep. I removed and cleaned them up. They were pretty dirty. Fuel Filter was staying about half full. I will have to check on it when I get back on the water this weekend. It all started when we were out in the rain and I came to a sudden halt. Water poured over the back off the boat and may have made it down the vent into the tank. If you add some extra fuel stabilizer it seems to help run a little better. I am going to run this tank competely out and start over. Does this sound logical. Thx, again"

"Thx JWB. Removed and cleaned

"Thx JWB. Removed and cleaned the plugs. Found one of the boot connectors on what I believe are the rectifiers. Is this what the other end of the plug wire plugs into. Well, the boot was about melted from what looks like loose and corroded connection. I removed and cleaned all six of them. Does the 2 power packs supply the power to these six rectifiers and then to the plugs? I kinda followed along with my new parts manual I got from the site. I wil go ahead and replace all of them. Boat ran fairly well and got up on plane quickly. Still needs some fine tuning, but running like it used to."
