I was having a re-starting problem after the motor had been run for a while, I was told to check the stator for any leaking of "GOO" dripping under the flywheel, couldn't see any sign of anything so I removed the flywheel for a better look, in doing so I found that the Rectifier & Regulator Assy. had a hole burnt or melted in the top of the Foam water seal that covers the R & R Assy. First: what would cause this? and Second: could this have anything to do with the starting problem? Thanks for any info.
