I have a problem with the alar

I have a problem with the alarm buzzer going off only when the motor is first started.The buzzer only goes off after about 2 minutes.If I stop the engine and restart it the buzzer normally goes off and there are no more problems. The motor runs well and always has oil etc etc. I can only think that the problem is caused when the boat is transported and the motor is fully tilted exposing the oil sensor. Does anybody know if this is a common problem? Many Thanks

Thanks. It is more of an annoyance than anything. I have spoken to another person with the same motor and his does the same from time to time. That's why I thought it may be tilting the motor that causes it. Is it easy to test the sensor in the oil tank ?

Thanks for your help. For most of us I think outboards are a little daunting. It's not easy carting the boat around to have a serviceman look at small problems.A troubleshooting service like this is really excellent. Thanks again.
