1986 40 hp vro pulse

how can i verifie the pulse on my motor,my fuel pressure is 1 to 1.5 psi at idle and drop at zero at wot. the motor run fine at idle and die on acceleration and accelerate when i push start solenoid .this is with vro pump and standard pump, both are good, hoses and connectors are good, compression is 150 psi both cylinders.

The fuel primer puts fuel into the motor and bypasses the carburetor.--If it runs better with key pushed in then there is a problem in the carburetors.---------I would take them apart for a proper cleaning.

thank's for the reply , after some tests,i found a pin hole in the hose from the connector and fuel pump inlet and the pump was sucking air from there . now pressure is at 2psi idle and raise with rpm.
