I have a 1985 mercury XD and I do not know how to adjust the trim. I believe I am missing a pin/metal rod that goes through the holes but I am unsure. Could I just use a random piece of metal or is there a certain pin that I have to use because it is designed to break if I hit something? Any feedback or advice/knowledge is highly appreciated. thank you.
