I think this is either a fuel pump or elevation issue not sure yet!!!

on a 20 day road trip bass fishing and in my home town 213ft boat runs great.

drive to astoria oregon boat 15ft boat runs great.

drive to roseburg oregon 500ft and when acceleration boat trys stalling, press enricher button boat picks up, and then it runs great after that, slow down and accelerates fine. let outboard idle for a little while and then accelerate again and it wants to stall push enrichener and picks up and runs great.

In my mind if it was a fuel pump wouldn't do it all the time??

On the other hand would 3 to 400 ft in elevation do this??

Not sure any help would be greatly thanked

Anything from sea level to 1000 ft is covered by the "standard" jet sizes on these carbs - so don't think it's a "jet size" issue.

Having said that, a minor clog/varnish blockage on any of the jets would definately be more noticable as altitude increases.

To me it sounds like that start of clogged carbs (not the fuel pump).

I would try a carb cleaning additive to the gas at this point - you may be able to catch it and correct it early (maybe).

It still could be a fuel pump issue (very small perforation in the diaphram will result in sporadic/phantom issues) - but I really would concentrate on the carbs first.

If you have "ever" run unstablized gas that is more than 2 weeks old that could affect the carbs and cause what you are experiencing...
