I have had this motor for some time and it has run well. The problem I am having now is that I can not get it to power up when in gear. At idol, no issues, but when I put it in gear it will not throttle up and wants to choke out. I've tried squeezing the fuel line ball, no effect. What could be doing this?

All motors will wind up in nuetral because they do not have to do any " work " --that proves nothing !!!-------------Do a compression check.-----Then check if you have spark at each plug that will jump a gap of 7/16" with a snap you can hear.---Has impeller been replaced lately ???----------Is this something that started suddenly ?--------------Your motor could well be running on 3 cylinders.----Could be plugged carburetor as well.-----Is gas left sitting in the carburetors or do you run them dry for storage ???

Try opening the idle mixture screws 1/2 turn CCW and see if that helps.

Run into a bunch of these lately, caused by ethanol gas.
