I bought a boat that has a 1985 VRO V4 90 HP motor. I was going over the motor checking things out because it does not idle well while in gear in the water. Runs fine with muffs though. I just noticed there is a hose barb in the head behind the terminal block on the starboard side of the motor. It appears something was on this hose barb before. I have been through my manuals trying to figure out what should be on this. Should this be connected to another hose with a tee? Does anyone have any idea what this hose barb is for.
